The African Journal for Physical, Health Education, Recreation and Dance (AJPHERD) is a refereed journal published twice yearly (April and October) by LAP Publications Ltd., Nigeria. It was established to:

• provide a forum physical educators, health educators and dance specialists, and other related professionals in Africa (including sports) the opportunity to report their research findings based on the African setting and also exchange ideas among themselves.

• afford the professional and interested individuals in these disciplines the opportunity to learn more about the practice of the disciplines in the different parts of the continent.

• allow the rest of the world to learn more about the practice of the discipline in Africa.

The Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Committee serve as a reviewing board in conjunction with appointed reviewers throughout Africa for special topics.
