Scientific Medical Journal: an official journal of Egyptian Medical Education provides a forum for dissemination of knowledge, exchange of ideas, inform of exchange of ideas, information and experience among workers, investigators and clinicians in all disciplines of medicine with emphasis on its treatment and prevention.

The Journal Publishes:

• "Original papers" in all aspects of medicine in general with emphasis. On specific problems of interest to African and Mediterranean countries.
• "Review of recent developments in medicine.
• "Short Communications" giving a brief but complete account of the piece of work.
• "Letters to the Editor" giving brief remarks, comments upon material previously or simultaneously published in the Journal, prepublication notes and outlines of work in-progress.
• "Questions and Answers", Readers are invited to send questions relevant scope of the Journal. These will be sent to experts. The answer will be either sent to the reader or will be published alone with question.
• "Case-report" giving a full account of interesting or report cases.
• "Summaries of International, Regional or National Meetings" in relevant subjects. The Journal may also publish "Supplements" giving the proceedings of such meetings.
• "Book Reviews".
• "Announcements" of International, Regional or National meetings and other relevant events.
