A Guide to Internet Resources in Sustainable Development

is a helpful guide which assists researchers and others with the
task of locating information on sustainable development on the

Culturelink. Network of Networks for Research and
Cooperation in Cultural Development
Established by UNESCO and the Council of Europe in 1989, the
Culturelink Network brings together some 1,000 networks and
member institutions from 97 countries in all parts of the world.
One of its major objectives is the promotion of regional,
interregional and international research projects/joint projects
in which most of its members from Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin
America participate. The site provides access to the `Cultural
Development Database' and the `Cultural Policy Database, and the

Development Gateway
Initiated by the World Bank in collaboration with a number of partner organizations, Development Gateway describes itself as "the world's most extensive source of project descriptions, funding, and contact details, with over 300,000 records drawn from multiple databases." Includes details on projects of the World Bank and other multilateral development agencies for businesses interested in offering products and services, together with major development indicators, from literacy rates to telephone connections, organized by country and region, and there are also country gateways providing perspectives within developing countries on economic and social issues.

Knowledge Exchange Learning Partnerships (KELP)
KELP was set up to act as a catalyst for knowledge exchanges and learning partnerships. Its goal is networking networks to increase the leadership role of African post-secondary institutions in sustainable development, and to help accelerate African capacity to sustainably manage development through strategic objectives relating to agriculture, natural resources management, environmental review, economic growth, and development information. Also provides access to an online discussion forum.

role of NESIS is to play a catalytic role in the process of
