International Union against Sexually Transmitted Infections (IUSTI) IUSTI is the oldest international organization in the field (founded in 1923) whose object is the achievement of international cooperation in the control of sexually transmitted diseases, including HIV infection. The IUSTI is an Official Non-Government Organization in Consultative Status with the WHO. The organization produces a comprehensive and highly illustrated CD-ROM on sexually transmitted diseases, and a sample chapter (genital herpes) is available free on the website. Besides information about the organization, the site also contains a limited amount of practical information, contributed by members of IUSTI. Reproductive Tract Infection: An Introductory Overview This resource consists of 13 fact sheets on sexually transmitted infections. They are intended for health promoters, program managers, and service providers. The factsheets are available in English and Spanish. Sexually Transmitted Diseases Treatment Guidelines - 2002 These guidelines for the treatment of patients were developed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), U.S. The information is available in html (web) and pdf format. Also included is an online and Powerpoint summary of treatments, guidelines and links to practical healthcare information about the full range of STDs.
