Global Forum for Health Research
Established in 1998, the Forum aims to correct the '10/90 gap'. Every year more than US $70 billion is spent on health research and development by the public and private sectors. An estimated 10% of this is used for research into 90% of the world's health problems. This is what is called "the 10/90 gap". The Forum organizes annual meetings, helps develop priority-setting methodologies and supports networks in priority health research areas. This site is a link to an open source, portable version of the Knowledge Asset Development system (pKADS) developed by the United Nations Population Fund.
