BISO News
BISO News in the online newsletter of the Board on International Scientific Organizations, the board within the (US) National Academies that manages US membership in the
International Council of Science/ICSU. Each issue (first issue published September 2001) contains news from ICSU, Scientific Unions, and other ICSU bodies, together with news and reports about other activities, and a calendar of events.

The Council of Science Editors (CSE)
The US-based Council of Science Editors (formerly the Council of Biology Editors) aims to improve communication in the sciences by educating authors, editors, and publishers; by providing means of cooperation among persons interested in publishing in the sciences; and by promoting effective communication practices in primary and secondary publishing in any form. The Web site provides information about the CSE's activities, services, events, job vacancies, and the Council also offers a number of very useful publications for those involved in the processes of editing, peer-reviewing, illustrating, and managing scientific books and journals.
