INASP Education and Research
A major focus of INASP activities is to enhance access to scientific and scholarly information by people engaged in research, science, or teaching.
-
Most of our work is implemented through the 'Programme for the Enhancement of Research Information'
(PERI). With in-depth activities in twenty countries (mainly in Africa) and other collaboration in a further forty countries worldwide, PERI strengthens research capacities in developing and transitional countries by reinforcing local efforts to produce, disseminate and gain access to scholarly information and knowledge.
-
We also support work in several Newly Independent States as part of the
INTAS Library Action
-
Together with other members of the ICSU 'family', we participate in a number of scientific information related events and initiatives, including the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS).
