The contents are aimed primarily at doctors and pharmacists in the UK, but are potentially valuable worldwide. The site contains registration information for the email discussion list plus access to the E-DRUG archives. It is available in English, French, Spanish and Russian. International Network for the Rational Use of Drugs (INRUD) This website contains information about INRUD and its activities. Merck Manual of Diagnosis and Therapy The 17th edition (2001) of the Merck Manual provides useful clinical and prescribing information for healthcare professionals. While the text is geared toward U.S. based practitioners, the text is comprehensive, clear and concise. It includes detailed information on paediatrics, psychiatry, obstetrics, gynaecology, dermatology, pharmacology, ophthalmology, otolaryngology, and a number of special subjects. World Health Organization: Model FormularyThis is the first edition of the WHO Model Formulary, which gives comprehensive information on all 325 medicines contained in the WHO Model List of Essential Drugs. It presents information on the recommended use, dosage, adverse effects, contra-indications and warnings of these medicines. The new formulary is primarily intended as a model for national governments and institutions in developing and transitional countries, to be used as a basis for developing their own national formularies.
